Chase's Birthday Party!!!

Chase's Birthday Party!!! 

Chase is 1! Can you believe it?! 

We celebrated Chase's birthday on Sunday July 15, 

We had a few friends come over and celebrate with us. Thanks for the Leseberg, Galbraith and Sagebin families for celebrating with us and the very thoughtful gifts that you gave to Chase! Thanks to all the families that called and skyped with us, Chase loved the birthday wishes and songs! 

This wonderful creation was made with love by Curt. These are all of Chase's favorite things. Chase's cake toppers include a shoe, crayons, money, legos, q-tips, animal crackers, miscelaneous toys, side walk chalk, chips, and of course you have to have his #1 candle in there! These are actually some of Chase's favorite things to play with or stick in his mouth, so Curt really did do a good job creating a cake perfect for Chase. Next to the cake I made very plain and boring cupcakes.

Before we started singing Happy Birthday, Chase wanted to start eating/playing with his birthday cake. I stopped him and he was so mad and was throwing a fit. Then we sang to him and he liked that, but I think I may have ruined the moment of him just wanting to dig into his cake. After we sang to him, he wouldn't stick his hands in it or eat it.

A series of pictures of me making Chase put his hands in the cake. Chase liked the taste of the frosting, but didn't like feel of the frosting on his hands. He tried to shake off the frosting and get it off! Haha, it was so funny! 

A family picture of us, not the best one, but we it's hard to get a picture of all four of us in it together, everybody happy and looking at the camera. You get the picture. ;)

Chase and the other kids opening presents. It was so fun to see Chase open his presents and to play with his toys. Chase is at a fun age, because you can really give him anything and he loves it. 

Nanni and Kyra dressed up eating cake. I think these two had the most fun with the cake. They're cute little friends.

Chase decided that he would try to eat the cake, he mainly had fun throwing the cake off the table and onto the ground. He did eat a few toys that had frosting on them and Nanni enjoyed eating the cake. It was such a fun day! I'm so grateful to have celebrated his 1st birthday! What a great year that it has been!
